The Heim Company was created by Edwin L. Heim in a small repair shop on Vernon Street in Harrisburg, PA in 1931. Mr. Charles Bashore, one of the original members of the corporation and the first President, had a firm idea of what Heim’s Objectives and Mission should be:

What Edwin L. Heim started as a small repair shop has expanded to more than 3 office buildings a Motor Shop, Electrical and Mechanical Fabrication Shops, and a Warehouse, all located in Harrisburg. As of 2018, Heim has grown to include a motor shop, industrial controls, electrical, telecommunications, mechanical divisions, and adding GES Automation company. In 2018, Heim grossed more than $80 million in sales, entrusted by their customers to deliver innovative solutions and reliable services.

Heim operates under the 2nd and 3rd generation of the Bashore family, with more than 400 employees.
