Our mechanical and electrical divisions collaborated on a cooling tower replacement that will yield significant energy, maintenance, and cost savings. The mechanical team upgraded the sump and other components with stainless steel to prevent future rusting. Additionally, the electrical team installed a variable frequency drive, allowing the client to adjust power consumption for the internal fan system as needed.

The Challenge
The challenge of this project was achieving seamless coordination between two divisions while adapting to the existing machinery’s layout and materials—despite not being involved from the project’s inception. Our team rose to the occasion, enhancing the system while building on the established framework.
The Solution
Before starting this project, our team dedicated extensive effort to meticulous pre-planning. This involved selecting rust-resistant materials to ensure the machinery’s durability, fostering clear communication among all teams, and equipping the owner with variable frequency drives for enhanced flexibility in energy management.
